Our physicians are highly trained board certified/eligible family practitioners and pediatricians. When our Doctors are not on call for SOS Medlink, they work in hospitals and/or Urgent Care facilities.
SOS Medlink Doctors do not necessarily want to assume the position of your primary care physician and they are very happy to consult with your regular doctor in order to coordinate your care when visiting you at home. However, in the event you do not have a primary care physician, your SOS Medlink doctor is well qualified to take this responsibility.
If you have a PPO insurance or if you are Medicare patient with a supplemental insurance and have met your deductible, there is NO OUT OF POCKET charge.
If you are uninsured or you have a foreign insurance, you will be required to pay a flat fee of $225.
You will be responsible to pay for the balance after payment received from the insurance and the initial visit price of $225. Keep in mind that most insurance will pay a portion of the visit and apply the other portion towards the deductible.
Some of SOS Doctors have hospital privileges. If, after examination you need to be admitted to the hospital, the SOS Medlink Doctor will call your primary care physician and decide with him which hospital would be better suited for you. In the event the primary care physician is not available, SOS Medlink Doctors will call the hospital of your choice and make all the necessary arrangements with the hospital's attending physician, to facilitate your admission in the most effective way.
A comprehensive examination, including diagnostic testing as available and when necessary. SOS Medlink Doctors are not on a time constrain, they will spend whatever time necessary to provide you with the most effective care and treatment.
Yes. SOS Medlink has a full network of other medical and alternative house call services. We can arrange consultation and treatment with Acupuncturist, Homeopathic doctors, Osteopath, RN visits and other healthcare related services.
If you do not have a preference, SOS Medlink will use the services of its affiliated pharmacies to fill up your prescription and have it delivered the same day or the very next morning at no delivery cost to you. If samples are available, it is our pleasure to give you a starter dose until your prescription is filled.

We do our best to accommodate the patient's request. Though you may ask for the same doctor, it is not always possible to accommodate. The doctors may have different schedules that day, in which case you will be assigned the doctor on call.
SOS Medlink Health care providers, are Internist, family practice, Pediatricians, DO and Chiropractor. If psychiatric care is deemed necessary, referral will be provided.
Some of the doctors carry basic starter dose antibiotics and/or over the counter medication. The doctor will be happy to dispense the patient with a starter dose while waiting for the prescription to be filled.
For safety reasons as well as legal reasons, SOS Medlink providers DO NOT carry narcotics. They can be prescribed after physical examination if the doctor deems it necessary and appropriate.
Can the Doctor prescribe medication for a psychiatric patient?
If you need a medication refill following a visit that was done prior, you may have your pharmacy call the doctor and he will refill the prescription if it is appropriate. At NO extra charge. You may also renew or fill out your prescription on line by going to http://www.sosmedlink.com/prescription_renewals.html No prescription will be filled without a valid signed prescription, or personally called in by the Doctor or the Doctor's nurse.
