SOS Medlink - A Needed Service
Do you know that out of 100 million trips to the Emergency Rooms, 80% are classified as "non-emergency". These non-emergency visits are expensive to the insurers who seek to cut costs, and frustrating to the general public, who get a poor quality of service and spend hours waiting for medical attention. We believe that a large proportion of these non-emergency ER visits could be conducted in a more satisfactory way for the patient, the physician and the insurer. Our mission: To provide a sensible and expedient service that caters to patient's physical and financial well-being. Based on their experience with emergency services, our doctors can handle your non-life threatening condition with efficiency. SOS Medlink is financially independent, and does not receive any governmental subsidy. Its usefulness to the general public is a guarantee of efficiency and responsibility.
SOS Medlink is not simply a referral service or virtual business. We coordinate your care, we insure that the physicians we refer have the qualification and the bedside manners we require for our patient's satisfaction.
When calling our Toll Free Number 1-866-SOSMD4U the patients will speak with one of our friendly operator who will assess your medical need. The information is then dispatched to our medical specialist and a physician will be at the patient's home or business within the same day of the call. The physicians responding to the call are within your area.
SOS doctors work can conjunction with the primary care physician if you require. After each visit, patient's are provided with a report and diagnosis for a follow up visit with their primary care physician. In addition, a copy of the doctor's order sheet/ plan of treatment can also be faxed to his office for easy reference and the patient's file.
Hospitalization: If upon examination it is determined by the attending physician that the patient requires immediate hospitalization, the doctor is required to remain with the patient until arrival of the Paramedics and proper arrangements are made for his/her hospital admission.
Insurance: For uninsured patients SOS doctors will provide each patient with a detailed medical bill to submit to their health insurance company for reimbursement.
Payment will be required upfront when calling the emergency number.
All SOS doctors are pre-screened, US educated, licensed and/or board certified, and insured.
